Instrument Calibration
Calibration is the activity of comparing an unknown measurement to a measurement of higher accuracy. Calibration exists to enable worldwide uniformity of measurements.
Verification
This activity involves the examination and issuing of a verification certificate that ascertains that the measuring instrument complies with statutory requirements.
